We plan several dual type litters each year. Our puppies are expected to be great field trial and show prospects for competition homes. We also are glad to have our dogs go to active hunter/companion homes, too. We have the philosophy of being very selective of the dogs we keep for our breeding program. We have spared no expense in seeking out the best stud dogs across North America. Everything we do in our breeding program is for a reason, and that is to try to keep the breed a strong bird dog at the same time breeding for proper breed type. We strongly support the dual concept that the Brittany breed is known for. All of our breeding dogs are OFA certified or PennHip certified. Our brood bitches all have field trial wins or placements, as well as a conformation championship.
We nominate all our litters in the American Brittany Club futurities. All puppies are individually Canadian Kennel Club registered, tattooed, guaranteed in writing against hip and hereditary health defects, and come with a 4 generation pedigree, their first vaccinations, vet exam, dewormed, tails docked, and dewclaws removed. The puppies are handled and well socialized by the time they are ready to leave. We have much experience shipping in the United States and Canada and can fly them to their new homes at 8 plus weeks of age. If shipping is required, the new owner is responsible for the cost. All of this, and our puppies are very reasonably priced for top American and Canadian field and show (dual) breeding. We do have waiting lists for our puppies, so if you are interested, you must place a reservation in advance and prepare to wait until we have the right puppy for you.
one of our current brood bitches: Ch. Kinwashkly French Blaze ![]() ![]() Whelped: July 14, 2017 | OFA: OFA certified good Blaze is sired by NFC/FC/AFC Roustabout's Flat Out out of Ch. Kinwashkly Defiant Diefenbaker Blaze is one of the few daughters of 2016 National Field champion Roustabout's Flat Out who sadly died in the prime of his life only months after winning the National championship as well as the 2016 ABC Quail Classic. Out of our favourite bitch, Diefenbaker, Blaze combines the pedigrees of several top winning field and dual bloodlines. Blaze herself possesses speed, drive, high style on point, a far better than average nose, and is obsessed with finding birds. Blaze has puppy points and puppy and derby placements in CKC trials. She completed a show championship easily. She is a small, attractive deep orange and white bitch with a beautiful smooth coat. Blaze's first litter produced a show champion with field trial wins, and another puppy with puppy points, derby placements and a FDJ. |
one of our current brood bitches: Ch.Kinwashkly Buffalo Gal ![]() ![]() Whelped: March 16, 2019 | OFA: OFA excellent Gal is sired by 2XNGDC/DC/GFC/AFC Hope's Chief of Cross Creek out of Ch. Kinwashkly Single White Female Although Gal has been unable to do much in field trials and shows since all shows and field trials in western Canada disappeared with the pandemic, she does have a puppy placement from the fall of 2019 when she was 6 months old. She was Best Baby puppy at the Canadian national specialty when she was 4 months old and also was best opposite sex in sweepstakes. She is a leggy beauty with a high tail carriage and the sweetest personality. In the field she is a wide running, stylish pointing dog. Gal finished her show championship in July 2022, despite her disgust with the dog show game. Gal has weaned her first litter of ten puppies in December of 2021. One of her seven month old puppies is already a champion! |
one of our current brood bitches: Ch. Kinwashkly By A Mudslide ![]() ![]() Whelped: December 9, 2019 | OFA: OFA good Mudslide is sired by DC/AFC Kinwashkly Tempo out of GCh. Wild Mountain Masterpiece, J.H. Mudslide is our wonderful young liver and white female. She is a consistently good running, bird finding competitive field trial dog who also happens to love being in the show ring. She is an athletic front running dog that handles well. Due to Covid and lack of field trials, she had to go to the States to prove herself with handler Ed Tillson. She had 4 placements in large derby stakes during the month of October before returning home. She is a well built and high energy girl, very outgoing and sweet in nature. We think she will add much to our breeding program besides the ability to add a little colour to our program. We plan on breeding her first litter sometime in 2022 to be sired by DC/GFC Almaden's Under Lock and Key. |
one of our current brood bitches: Ch. Kinwashkly Charming Wee Ms. D ![]() ![]() Whelped: June 6, 2020 | OFA: OFA excellent Ms D is sired by DC Kinwashkly Wee Johnny D, FD out of Ch. Kinwashkly French Blaze Ms D is a young very typey little fireball. She has a great nose, covers a lot of ground and is smart as a whip. Despite lack of opportunity because of Covid lockdowns, she has 3 juvenile placements, including a 1st in puppy stake, plus 2 legs on her FDJ in two outings. She finished her championship quickly because she is a very correct build and gorgeous head with an outgoing personality. She is our breeding on both sides of her pedigree for many generations and we expect she will be a great addition to our breeding program. We hope to breed a late in 2022 litter from her, with sire not decided at this time. |
