We have bred over 70 champions, including specialty winners and group winners. We like a short coupled dog, with a pretty head, high tail set, small high set ears; well within the size standard. I am not partial to any type of markings. I consider liver and orange to be equals and like roan or clear equally well. Most of our dogs have some ticking. Our litters are always bred to be bird dogs first, but we also consider proper conformation to be very important.

GCh. Kinwashkly Perty Chipper, C.D., RN, FDJ, CGC
Chipper, owned by Carl and Lee Magnuson, has 20 group placements in dog shows in Canada. He was in the top ranked Brittanys for 4 years in a row. In addition, he has a High Score in Obedience trial, obedience and rally degrees, a field test title, and a Canine Good Citizen title. Chipper is an enthusiastic hunting dog, and is a good example of how versatile Brittanys can be.
American and Canadian Ch. Kinwashkly Katydid Magic, J.H.
Magic is our favourite hunting dog as well as a show girl. Magic finished her Canadian Championship in 5 shows at 10 months of age, and her American championship in 4 shows with 4 majors. She has group placements, was 2nd money female at the ABC Eastern Futurity in 2006, was Best Opposite and Award of Merit at the 2005 Canadian National Specialty. Magic enjoys life especially pheasant hunting in the fall, where she is the supreme cripples retriever.
Ch. Kinwashkly Boomerang
"Josh" was born in 1980, the son of DC/AFC/NAFC Perry's Rustic Prince out of Ch. Kinwashkly Princess Sioux, a daughter of 2X NFC Ban Dee, so he had a pedigree to die for! Josh was owned by Stephen Kennedy. In very limited showing, Josh had multiple group placements and was ranked as number 3# Brittany in Canadian shows for 1983. Josh also had adult points towards his field championship and could have easily have finished a dual championship if given a chance.
Ch. Kinwashkly Start Me Up
"Nitro" is a brother to our Magic. He had many Best of Breeds in his career, and is pictured here winning the Brittany club Booster as a veteran, Easter of 2010. He is owned by Charlene Moch.
Ch. Kinwashkly Angelic Demon
Demon was owned by Denise Jones, D.V.M. She is the dam of a dual champion.
Ch. Kinwashkly Missing Link
Levi was owned by Chris and Carolyn Link. He already had some puppy wins in both USA and Canada field trials when he was hit by a truck and broke both back legs. After a long rehab period, Levi came back and won his derby points and started his show career. In spite of his set backs, Levi achieved his show championship with a group placement along the way. Levi had 6 points to his AKC field championship and 3 points to his CKC field championship when he was lost forever during a training session. He will always be a dual champion in our hearts.
Ch. Kinwashkly Jest A Love Machine
Jesse finished his championship at 10 months of age, with 4 majors. The day after finishing, he made his fist group placement. He consistently won Best of Breeds and group placements, though sparingly shown, was ranked number 4 Brittany in Canada both years he was shown. He also has both AKC and CKC puppy and derby points in field trials. He is pictured here winning an Award of Merit at the Canadian National Specialty show.
Ch. Kinwashkly Mlle. Freckles, F.D.
Freckles (1996-2013) was owned by Bill Sanders, D.V.M. She finished her championship easily, had field trial points, and a F.D. degree. She was a great hunting dog.
Ch. Kinwashkly Thrill 'Em
Flash is owned by Julie Ross. On the way to his championship, Flash had a Best Puppy in Group win, and the following day, placed third in the sporting group. Flash also had points tward his Grand Championship before a tragic accident left him with three legs.
Ch. Kinwashkly Royal Jasper
Jasper was an important part of Dave Brown's upland outfitter team. Jasper earned his first show points going Best of Winners for a 5 point major at the Canadian National specialty show. Jasper also had a few field trial placements.
Ch. Kinwashkly Courtney Love Child
"Lady" was bought as a hunting dog, but we convinced her owners that she should be shown. We picked her up for her first weekend of shows-3 all breed shows and a specialty show, and groomed her, put her on a show lead for the first time, went in the ring and within 48 hours, earned her first and last points to her championship. She was Winner's bitch the first time in the ring, and then Best of Winner's the next three times, all majors. She made it look easy! She retired to be a terrific hunting dog after that one weekend.
Ch. Kinwashkly Red Apache
"Mike" might have set a record for the dog who got pulled in the most sporting groups and never placed! He would get bored quickly in the ring, because he would much rather be out hunting.
Ch. Kinwashkly Ran Dee
Ran Dee (owned by Bob and Barb Schoulton) was our first homebred champion. He was also the first titled offspring of DC/2X Nat Ch. Ban Dee. Here I am in 1977 with Ran Dee-- maybe if I was a little smarter, I would have faced him into the wind so his hair would stay flat.
