Kinwashkly Brittanys are dedicated to the Brittany in the field whether it is hunting for upland game or field trialing in competition. Hunters need dogs that don’t quit when the going gets tough, with good noses, and natural retrieving ability. The majority of our dogs go to hunters, and an even bigger majority go to repeat customers. Our own dogs hunt Hungarian partridge, pheasants, and sharptail grouse on the Canadian prairies. In the past we have also done some waterfowl hunting with them.

Ch. Kinwashkly Gibbs Runner and Kinwashkly Rocket Scientist
"Covey" and "Roxy" were littermates, owned by Dave Brown (credit to Dave for photo). Shown pointing and backing, they were important members of his guiding services. Both were successful in derby stakes in field trials. They had it all, drive, great noses, style and stamina.
Dual & Amateur Field Ch. Kinwashkly Smoking Hank, F.D.X.
Hank was owned by Vern and Kim Brunen, Crossfield Alberta. Hank started his career as the top derby dog all Breeds in Canada 1997 as a puppy. Hank was the top Open Shooting dog of All Breeds in Canada for four years running, as well as a top hunter. He had a remarkable nose and was one fine bird dog. The title at the end of his name stands for Field Dog Excellent, the highest Canadian Kennel Club title for field testing, the equivalent of a Master Hunter degree in American Kennel Club hunt tests.
Ch. Kinwashkly Ban Dee Max
Max was owned by Jack and Vicki Wilson. He was a good example of the dual type (field and show) Brittany we strive to breed. His owners always referred to him as World's Greatest Gun Dog.
Ch. Kinwashkly Commandin Bandit
Bandit was owned by Jeff Minter. He is shown here after a good day of quail hunting. Bandit was a very good bird dog, who died in old age while out hunting.
Kinwashkly Ladysweeper Sequoia, F.D.
Coy was owned by Charlie Faid. The F.D. stands for Field Dog, a Canadian Kennel Club title equivalent to Senior Hunter. Coy is showing his versatility retrieving a mallard.
Kinwashkly Taccoa Dancer
Dancer was owned by Mike Nichols. She is pictured here displaying intense natural backing instinct in thick cover.
Ch. Kinwashkly Lucky Star
Lucky is pictured pointing sharptails out in the Sandhills northeast of Maple Creek.
