We like a smart, animated dog that learns quickly and works both happily and reliably. Many Kinwashkly dogs have earned obedience degrees; three of them have been High Score in All Breed Trials. I started out in obedience trials with Brittanys many years ago, and although I am no longer active in obedience competition, I still appreciate watching a good dog work.

Ch Kinwashkly Jedi Raider, C.D.
owned by Carl & Lee Magnuson. "Raider" (OFA Good) earned his C.D. with a high in trial, placed in the group on the way to his Ch, helped his owner's young daughter become a top Junior Handler, lived as a house pet, and was heavily hunted every fall on all upland birds. Raider passed away in December 2003, a week after his sister Jane, and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Raider was by FC Rimarda's Trademark (Hall of Fame) x Ch Kinwashkly Amelia Airhead C.D.
Ch. Kinwashkly Amelia Airhead, C.D.
After giving Leah a registered name that might suggest she wasn't very smart, we felt we had to let her prove she was no airhead. With only my backyard training, she easily earned her C.D degree. Leah was also a good hunting dog, had Best Puppy in Group and other group placements, derby placements, and produced some excellent puppies for us.
Kinwashkly Blazing Gibson
Gibson was owned by Shona Hanna. I got his first leg to his C.D. with a score of 191 in the picture above. Pretty good for a dog that didn't even know me.
GCh. Kinwashkly Perty Chipper, CDX,RN, FDJ, CGC
Chipper finished his C.D. with a highest scoring dog in trial award at a year and a half of age. He has now added the CDX degree, as well as many rally titles. He is quick and outgoing so it is fun to watch him perform. Chipper also has a FDJ degree in field tests and is a good pheasant dog too!
Kinwashkly Rebel Yell, C.D.
Rebel finished his C.D. in one weekend, with the High Aggregate award for the highest total score for the weekend. Rebel (also known as Kitty) was owned by Carl and Lee Magnuson.
Ch. Kinwashkly Regal Blue (orange dog) and Kinwashkly Flaming Flare, C.D. (liver dog)
Blue and Flame were owned by Ernie Kidd. Flame finished his C.D. degree with a Highest Scoring Dog in Trial with over 120 dogs competing.
Kinwashkly Chick-A-Dee, C.D.
Chick got her first leg at an outdoor trial, and was the only dog in the class to pass. (All points off were handler errors, good for me!) Pictured here as we do the sit stay exercise at a trial in Regina.
Ch. Flint's Kinwashkly Queen,C.D.
Queenie was our foundation bitch for our kennels. She was good at everything she did! Every dog that carries our kennel name is a descendant of hers. I taught her obedience, but she taught me far more!
